What
is the difference between the Basic Math and Prealgebra
videos?
Very little. Basic Math and Prealgebra share the same
videos. The video lists for each subject are arranged
differently to more closely resemble textbooks for those
subjects. Depending on the class and/or textbook you
have, you may find it easier to view the videos from
the standpoint of the Basic Math video list or vice versa.

Why
isn't the sound and video matching up?
If you are experiencing some "lag time" between
the sound and video in RealPlayer, please make sure
that your computer meets the minimum system requirements.
This problem is usually caused by one or more components
that are not fully capable of displaying the video at
an optimal level. The minimum system requirements are:
300Mhz Pentium II processor or equivalent
64MB of RAM
65,000-color video card set to display at 800x600
16-bit sound card and speakers
56K modem (cable or DSL recommended)
Windows 98SE / ME / NT4.0 / 2000 / XP or Mac OS
Internet Explorer 5.0 or later
RealPlayer 9 (RealOne) or higher
If you meet the minimum system requirements and are
still experiencing lag, please try one or more of the
following:
1. Close all other running software programs including
those running in the Windows system tray.
2. Check for updates to RealPlayer and download
the latest version if necessary.
3. Look for updated drivers for your sound and/or video cards. Visit
the web site of your computer's manufacturer
for more information.
4. Check your Internet connection speed. If you are on dial-up, try
reconnecting or choosing another local connection number in order to
gain the fastest connection possible.
If you still experience lag or slow performance, it
will most likely be a result of a slow Internet connection.
If you connect to the Internet using a 56k or slower
dial-up modem and are still getting lag after trying
all possible solutions, please contact
us. You may be better off purchasing a CD-ROM.

I'm using
RealPlayer 8. Why do I get a pop-up message forcing me
to upgrade?
If you have RealPlayer version 8, or previous version,
installed on your computer, you may get a warning message
that pops up immediately when you try to play a video.
This is normal. The videos available through the MathTV.com
online subscription use a newer video codec that is not
compatible with RealPlayer 8. This new codec allows
for higher quality video and better performance over
the Internet. You must upgrade to the RealPlayer 9 (RealOne)
or higher in order to view the online videos.

I just cancelled
my subscription. Now what?
CANCELLING YOUR SUBSCRIPTION WILL NOT CANCEL THE EXISTING
PERIOD YOU'VE ALREADY PAID FOR. It merely cancels future
automatic payments. For example, if you signed up for
a subscription on the 5th day of the month and now decide
to cancel on the 20th day of the same month, your subscription
access remains active until the 5th day of the following
month. After that day you will no longer be automatically
charged for future monthly payments.
