1. Solve for x in the following right triangle.

  2. Graph the line 3x -2y = 6.

  3. Find the distance between the points (4, -3) and (-2, 5).

  4. Find y so that the distance between (2, y) and (3, -2) is .

  5. Find sine, cosine, and tangent of 270°.

  6. Name the quadrant in which q will lie if sin q < 0 and tan q < 0.

  7. Find the six trig functions of q if the point (-4, 3) is on the terminal side of q.

  8. If sin q = -2/3 and q terminates in QIII, find cos q, tan q, and csc q.

  9. If sec q = 2 and tan q < 0, find sin q and cot q.

  10. If cos q = 1/3 with q in QI, find sec 2q, and 1 + tan 2q.

  11. Express in terms of cos q only.

  12. Multiply: (2 sin q + 1)(sin q - 1).

  13. Write cot q - cos q as a fraction in terms of sin q and cos q.

  14. Verify the identity: (tan q)(cos q) = sin q.

  15. Verify the identity: cos q (sec q + tan q) = 1 + sin q.
